The classroom was silent except the scratch of pencil on paper and the occasional flip of a page. The digital timer silently counted down the time.. Coach Ericson looked over his class. He had prepared them as best he could. Emotions in their faces ranged from sweaty panic to confident concentration.

He walked up and down the rows of desk trying to make sure no one was cheating. He noticed that Sylia was on the essay question and writing furiously with such intensity. She is such a bright student bound to be a very successful person. He thought to himself and Mitch gripping his pencil so tight it might snap. He could use a few more brains though he is far from dumb. I bet his parents are thankful for sports scholarships. He was back at the front of the room now and glanced at the timer 10 more minutes. He started around the room again from the other side. Tyla was chewing the end of her pencil her brows in a deep furrow of concentration. He had never known what to make of her she was shy quiet type but full of odd unexpected surprises. He knew she would do well for she attacked every challenge with quiet determination.

Ceasar, star runner on Coach Ericson's track team looked confident. He didn't come by learning easily, but Coach had been toutoring him for months after practice. All in all, Coach figured the whole class was well prepared.
