The song swelled from her heart. Her voice grew louder. Christmas cooking and carols always made her happy. She could smell the last batch of cookies-almost done. She chopped faster, dicing the onions for the turkey.

While she went about the pleasant business of cooking the Christmas dinner she sang along with the Christmas Carol on the radio... I'll be home for Christmas You can count on me .... She sure hoped Johnny would make it in without any delays at the airport. The snowfall though heavy was not what she would call a blizzard so she had high hopes that he would be home by noon. After all no news was good news. Right?

A loud commotion at the door followed by a knock let her know her brother, Jeb was there with his brood. Jeb and his wife, Mary had 6 children. "Come in!" They came in in a flurry of snow and people. Mary grabbed her in a huge hug. "So nice to see you, Angel!"
Angel grinned and stooped to pick up one of the children clambering for her attention.
